[🍃WHAT IS SHINCHA & SHINCHA SEASON?🍃]
Shincha means (New Tea) it is the most coveted tea of the year in Japan, and a time of celebration 🎉. Rather than over processing the tea freshness is prioritized to bring out the green, and fresh notes that Shincha is famous for.
Shincha is lightly steamed to make a very aromatic tea. The unique taste of this tea can be attributed to a natural occurring chemical that’s present in the first weeks after harvest.
the season begins with NEW Sencha (Shin-Cha) then Shin-Kabuse ( lightly roasted and shaded sencha ), Shin-Gyokuro ( heavily shaded green tea with heavy processing and intense umami) and lastly Shin-Matcha. Heavily processed Tencha leaves (all stems and undesirable parts of leaves are removed and the end product is small leaf flakes that have been heavily processed and are ready to be milked into matcha powder)————————————————————————————
